Why do you want to be an IFAD Ambassador?
I love the idea of this project and would love to connect to the glo
bal flow arts community!
If you were to become an IFAD Ambassador, what kind of event do you imagine hosting?
Well, the IFAD 2021 date is the day before my wedding. =) So, I think it would be super fun to have a flow sesh with my friends who will be in town and perhaps some of the local flow community. Not sure what will be safe at that time! Also, I'm a co-organizer for an event in Fort Worth, Texas. I'm going to see if the leadership team wants to host an event there as well. If so, I'll have them apply to be co-ambassadors with me. I can also offer a lot of support with online awareness. I'm plugged into a lot of the USA flow community spaces, and I just launched a flow community news project.
Tell us a bit about yourself, and share your flow story with us!
I'm the lead organizer for Fort Worth Fire Beats, a monthly performing arts event that features a fire circle (first legally permitted one in the city!). That project has been wildly successful over the last two years, and we have a thriving community. I recently moved out of state, leaving the project day-to-day business to two capable co-organizers. I'll be managing from afar now.
Also, I recently started a new project called The Wild Post, which I hope will become an international online news source for the flow arts community. I'd love to help promote this project through that platform. I'm also a new contributing writer for the Flow Arts Institute's media page, and I may take on a greater role with the FAI media team moving forward. Some of those details are TBA!
